Career Profile

Professor Rosemary Ogbodo-Adoga is academic lecturer with National Open University of Nigeria, she is a professor of educational guidance and counselling, her first degree was in Christian Religious Education 1987, Masters in Guidance and Counselling 1990 from University of Jos, she obtain her PhD in Guidance and Counselling from University of Abuja in 2001. She had a privilege of being the second student of postgraduate school to be awarded Doctorate Degree in Guidance and Counselling, Faculty of Education, from University of Abuja. Wrapped with her zeal for Education, she has distinguished herself as a prolific writer and has contributed immensely to the teaching of guidance and counselling. she has authored several academic books and written numerous articles on Educational Guidance and Counselling in various journal. Her books are highly recommended for students, teachers, counsellors, administrators and the general public. She has taught in secondary schools under Benue State Teaching Service Board from 1990 to 1997, she has worked under Federal Housing Authority in Training and Development Department from 1988 to 2007 and lectured with college of Education, Zuba, from 2007 to 2014 and joined National Open University as Academic lecturer till date. She is a member of some professional bodies such as Counselling Association of Nig. (CASSON), she is a member of Association of Professional Counsellors in Nigeria (APROCON), a member of Institute of Mentoring and Career Coaching Nigeria. A member of American Psychological Association (APA) & American Counselling Association (ACA). Also a member of Association of African University (AOAU), a member of ODeLAN, also a member of African Counsel for Distance Education, a member for Association for Academic Review and Development (AARD), and a member of Nigerian Academy of Education (NAE).
