I am happy to warmly welcome you to the webpage of the Department of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Education, National Open University of Nigeria. We have carefully packaged the information on our programmes including our professional training programmes directed at training and encouraging you to learn, acquire the requisite knowledge and skills, develop life experiences in Library and Information Sciences, including principles of information generation, management and usage. All our programmes are student- friendly with academic, administrative and technical structures including faculty and departmental academic advisers and other support services directed at helping students achieve successful and memorable academic pursuits.
