Dr. Adetayo Adekunle ADEBANJO is an Associate Professor of Educational Technology in the Department of Educational Foundations at National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja. He began his academic journey at All Saints’ Anglican Primary School, Owode-Egba, and subsequently proceeded to Egba Owode Grammar School, Owode-Egba, where he completed his secondary education. Driven by a deep passion for pedagogy, he advanced to the Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta, Ogun State where he earned a Nigerian Certificate of Education (NCE).
Adetayo obtained a bachelor’s degree in computer education (BSc. Ed) at the Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), and, immediately afterwards, enrolled at the prestigious University of Ibadan where he completed a master’s degree in educational technology (Med).
Returning to his alma mater, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Adetayo began his academic career as an Assistant Lecturer, steadily rising through the ranks while pursuing his PhD in Educational Technology at the University of Ibadan. In 2012, he joined the National Open University of Nigeria, where he currently specializes in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) practices. A prolific researcher, Dr. Adebanjo has published extensively in reputable local and international journals, enriching the field of educational technology with his insights and expertise. Outside of the profession, Adetayo is happily married and a proud father of great children.
