I am delighted to welcome you to the Department of Environmental Health Science, Faculty of Health Sciences of the National Open University of Nigeria. We are a dynamic Department and we offer B.Sc. Environmental Health Science with a strong drive for progression into postgraduate degrees in Environmental Health Science.

The global Environmental changes especially with the advent of the Corona Virus pandemic has made Environmental Health Science one of the most exciting and relevant area of study today. Our mission is to train Environmental Health Professionals attuned to the pursuit of sub stainable development for clean and healthy environs that will enhance the quality of life for national and international communities.

In this four-year programme, you will be exposed to various interesting Environmental Health disciplines such as Environmental Toxicology, General Biochemistry, Epidemiology, Environmental Microbiology, Solid Waste Management, Pollution Assessment and Control. The Departmental handbook should give our prospective students further information on admission requirements, registration policies, deferment and compulsory courses, guardian and procedures.
