Dr Olufunke Osikomaiya is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Arts and Social Sciences Education, Faculty of Education, National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja. She obtained her First Degree (B.Ed. English) and Master’s Degree ( M.Ed. Language Education/English) from Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State and her Ph.D (Language Education/English) from University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State. She had taught at two higher institutions from 1999 to 2017 before she transferred her service to National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja. She is an erudite scholar who has taught at primary, secondary and higher institution levels. She participated in the training programmes for teachers such as “Eko Project, Train the Trainers for Primary School Teachers and UBEB/UBEC Cluster Model Training” across the nation organised by Federal Government and National Teachers Institute. She is a researcher, a writer with area of interest in Language Education (English Language) and practices of Distance Education. She has published severally in many local and international journals. She is a member of ESAN, IALE, ELTAN, NATRESL, ODeLAN and IATEFL. She was immediate pass Head, Department of Arts and Social Sciences Education, and she is currently the Director, Awa-Ijebu Community Study Centre.
