Career Profile
Dr. Emmanuel Olasupo BAMIDELE was born on 9th September, 1965 at Ikinfin, Osun State, Nigeria. I attended Oyo State College of Education, Ila-orangun where I graduated with the NCE certificate in 1986. I thereafter attended the University of Ibadan where I got B. Ed. Guidance and Counselling/Language Arts Hons in 1996. I was at the University of Lagos for my Masters and PhD in Guidance and Counselling (2002/2010).
I worked at Lagos State Universal Basic Education from 1992 to 2011 when I joined the National Open University of Nigeria as a Student Counsellor. I was converted to academic staff on 14th July 2014. I have been teaching undergraduates and post-graduate courses at the university for close to a decade. As an expert in ODL, virtual teaching and other online activities are part of my regular duties.
An active student at the Institute for Capacity Building in Higher Education (VICBHE), I have participated in Modules 1-9 and graduated with distinction. I am also a Grading Facilitator at VICBHE under the Distinguish Professor Peter Okebukola.
Am an active member of CASSON, APROCON, APA and NAAIP. I have attended both national and international conferences and published articles in reputable Association and universities’ journals.
Am happily married with children.
