Career Profile
Fatimayin Foluke Florence holds a Ph.D and is a Professor of English Language Education with research interests in Language Education and Applied Linguistics, classroom pedagogies as well as issues and practice of Distance Education. She has written papers in academic journals, attended many national/international workshops, seminars and conferences. She is a member of many professional bodies such as the African Council for Open and Distance Learning (ACODL), Open distance and eLearning Association of Nigeria (ODeLan), Reading Association of Nigeria, International Association of Language Educators (IALE), National Association of Nigerian of Teachers and Researchers of English as a Second language (NATRESL), English Language Teachers’ Association of Nigeria (ELTAN), Nigerian Teachers’ Registration Council. She is lecturer in the Faculty of Education, National Open University of Nigeria and the immediate past head of the department of Arts and Sciences Education. Foluke is a prolific writer and has over thirty-nine journal articles and chapters in Books to her credit. Her hobbies include reading, research, travelling and finding appropriate classroom pedagogies that would make learners of English as second language acquire communicative competence.
