Profile: Dr. Lucy Ndidiamaka Nebeolise Okonkwo

Dr. Lucy Ndidiamaka Ndidiamaka Okonkwo is a distinguished academic and professional librarian with over a decade of experience in Library and Information Science. She holds a B.Sc. in Library and Information Science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, an M.Sc. in Information Technology from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), and a Ph.D. in Library Science from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

As Principal Librarian at NOUN, Dr. Okonkwo has significantly advanced library services through digital transformation, course material development, and student learning facilitation. She specializes in ICT applications in cataloging, classification, and research, focusing on improving knowledge access in academic and distance learning environments. She also coordinates Study Centre Libraries across Nigeria’s South-East region.

A prolific researcher, Dr. Okonkwo has published extensively on library automation, electronic resource accessibility, and ICT-enhanced learning. Her dedication has earned her awards for academic advising and excellence in e-learning platform management.

Dr. Okonkwo is an active member of professional bodies like the Nigerian Library Association and the Librarians Registration Council of Nigeria.
