Got a grade 11 Teacher’s certificate in 1981, taught as a classroom teacher for one year , Proceeded for a two year diploma certificate in Physical and Health Education from 1982 – 1984, B.Sc. PHE 1987, obtained a masters degree in sports management in 1994 and Ph.D. ( Health Education} in 2008. Worked as a lecturer in Federal College Of Education Zaria from 1996 – 2015. Joined National Open University of Nigeria in 2015 till date and currently. a professor of Health Education,
