Professor Augustine Chinweuba UKWUEZE hails from Umuosigide village, near Obollo Afor in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Science Education (B. Sc. Ed.) degree in Geography from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife and a Master’s degree (M. Ed.) in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Lagos, Akoka. He also holds the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Guidance and Counselling from Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki. He joined the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) in November, 2011 as a Lecturer I and became a Professor of Guidance and Counselling in January, 2021.
Professor Ukwueze was the Director of the Asaba Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria in Delta State from 2017 to 2019. He is the Head of Department of Educational Foundations, Faculty of Education, NOUN Headquarters, Jabi-Abuja from 2020 to 2024. He has published widely with significant virtual visibility. He has been a member of the Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON) for more than two decades. He is also a member of the prestigious Nigerian Academy of Education (NAE). He is happily married with lovely children.
