Professor Chinyere Augusta Nwajiuba is a distinguished scholar in the Sociology of Education at the National Open University of Nigeria in Abuja. She holds a B.Sc. in Health Science Education from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (1998), an M.Ed. in Sociology of Education from Imo State University (2004), an M.Sc. in Sociology from the University of Ibadan (2012), and a Ph.D. in Sociology of Education from Imo State University, Owerri (2009). Her research focuses on the impact of innovative teaching practices on student learning outcomes and the development needs of new educators in higher education. She is currently involved in the Professional Development of Teachers Project under the Association of Teachers in Europe (ATEE) and is consulting for the European Union on Climate Change Education programs in Nigeria. Professor Nwajiuba has coordinated the Linnaeus-Palme Exchange Programme between the University of Gävle, Sweden, and AE-FUNAI. She has served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Kent and received grants from the Global Challenges Research Fund and TETFUND. Recognized in the World Scientist and University Rankings 2024, she is listed among the top 10 scientists in Education at AE-FUNAI. She contributes to several academic publications, serving as an Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Family Business Management and a Guest Co-Editor for the Journal of Enterprising Communities. With over 69 publications in national and international journals, she balances her professional life with being a wife to Professor Chinedum Nwajiuba and a mother of five and grandmother of three.

Prof Nwajiuba illustrious academic career has fetched her extensive experiences. She has served as a visiting professor at the National Universities Commission (2021-2022) and the pioneering Director of the Centre for Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETeL) at Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI) from 2019 to 2021. She also served as the inaugural Head of the Department of Vocational and Technical Education (2016) and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Education (2017-2019) at AE-FUNAI. Earlier, she spent over a decade as a Senior Lecturer at Imo State University, Owerri, shaping the academic growth of diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate students.
